Cathedral City schools have chosen their Teachers of the Year for 2008-09. All will be honored at the Palm Springs Unified School District’s We Honor Our Own (WHOO) banquet on May 30 at the Wyndham Hotel.

Site teachers of the year include: Eric Antuna, Agua Caliente Elementary; Ramiro Ortega, Cathedral City Elementary; Amiya Sawyer, Landau Elementary; Pamela Monty, Rio Vista Elementary; Marjoria McGihon, Sunny Sands Elementary; Irene Griffis, James Workman Middle; Christine Snyder, Nellie N. Coffman Middle; Diane Mason, Cathedral City High; and Cinthia Ruiz, Mt. San Jacinto High.
