Cathedral City Schools Receive Donations From Tribe
Three Cathedral City schools were among the 84 recipients of grants totaling $1.3 million from the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians at a recent ceremony at the Agua Caliente Casino.
James Workman Middle School received $28,000 and Landau Elementary received $26,310, both for their 24/7 laptop programs. Cathedral City High School received $6,000 for its ROTC Summer Camp program.
Palm Springs Unified School District schools received a total of $206,420 in donations, representing 10.6 percent of the funds awarded.
